Abstract:
The article offers information on the World in Minnesota initiative of the College of Human Ecology at the University of Minnesota, which seeks to build relationships with two major minority groups in the state, the Hmong and Latino. The university's student recruiters run outreach program to improve Hmong students' access to undergraduate education. As part of the World in Minnesota-Latino/a effort, the university partnered with Americorps/VISTA to a hire a bilingual financial educator for the Latino community.
