Abstract:
The transformation of a traditional bazaar-type organization for producing and selling Hmong refugee paj ntaub textile handicrafts in California to a transitional cottage industry is analyzed. The main factor in the transformation was the organization by an entrepreneur of a sale in a shopping mall.
