Hmong healthcare beliefs and how western healthcare clinicians can better meet the needs of Hmong in the United States are discussed. Recommendations for overcoming barriers that may impede refugee, immigrant, minority and ethnic families from receiving the greatest possible benefit from western healthcare services are presented.
