Abstract:
Second-generation Hmong youth in France are marked by the patterns of two cultures & build their cultural identity from the two. After a devaluation of their parental culture during their teenage years, they enter the world of adults through a union with a member coming from the same ethnic group & this cannot be done any other way. They are all driven by the same desire to claim at the same time their ethnic identity & their French cultural background. The ethnic community is then the mold of the cross-cultural identity of these young people who put forward their differences while wishing to integrate into the French environment. 19 References.
