Abstract:
The article presents a case study of a two-year-old Hmong girl who was presented to the emergency department with complaints of seizures presumed to be secondary to fever from an acute illness with otitis media. Topics discussed include the development of drug-related eosinophilia with systemic symptoms (DRESS) following febrile-illness–related epilepsy syndrome (FIRES), risk factors for FIRES and DRESS, and clinical features of DRESS syndrome.
