Reviews Jo Ann Koltyk's 'New Pioneers in the Heartland: Hmong Life in Wisconsin' (1998), 'American Immigrant Cultures: Builders of a Nation' (1997) edited by David Levinson and Melvin Ember, Maxine L. Margolis's 'An Invisible Minority: Brazilians in New York City' (1998), Alex Stepik's 'Pride against Prejudice: Haitians in the United States' (1998), and Bernard Wong's 'Ethnicity and Entrepreneurship: The New Chinese Immigrants in the San Francisco Bay Area' (1998), which not only provide case studies of immigrant groups, particularly since the 1960's, they also "indicate the probable direction of our population growth and cultural, economic, and political changes.
